AHANI India volunteer, Ms. Mridula Bhargava, who is also a Bakken Award Honoree, conducted a workshop filled with fun and information with a quiz for children and parents of Type-1 diabetics on February 17, 2019 at Yog Dhyan Foundation, New Delhi. The aim of the DCTP workshops is mainly to spread awareness among the caretakers of these patients regarding healthy practices that diabetics can follow to ensure a hassle free lifestyle.

The quiz was conducted in a very unique way. Children as well as their parents were divided into four groups. A huge layout snakes and ladder game was used to ask several questions related to diabetes management and care. Frio Insulin cooling wallets were also distributed to 150 children with Type-1 diabetes.

This event was conducted in collaboration with EcDEESHA Foundation and Peoples' Training and Research Centre (PTRC), Vadodara, Gujarat.
