As part of the ongoing School Health Program, the AHANI team lead by Dr. Ruchi Vaidya carried out a Nutritional status assessment program in Anandalaya, a school run under the aegis of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Anand. A total of 150 8th grade students were assessed for their anthropometry measurements, and their lifestyle habits in particular, their sleep, breakfast and screen time activities. A brainstorming session was performed among the school teachers to design the implementation process of AHANII school health program. An ice breaking session was also performed among the students where they were introduced to sustainable development goals and motivated to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

On May 1st, 2023, all these students, teachers and the school administration were felicitated for successfully completing multiple subject enrichments under this initiative called the 'Gamechanger Challenge'. The focus has been on empowering the teachers and students with innovative ways to identify common problems related to health nutrition, lifestyle and environmental issues and collectively design solutions within the purview of their school curriculum, in alignment with UN's SDGs. While the winners received medals, all the participating students and teachers received certificates of appreciation. Anandalaya intends to continue the program as well as support other schools to adapt to it as well.
